Words to Live By
Has watching Trinidad Silva throw dogs out the window of his apartment got you down? Here are some words to cheer you up.
If you haven’t realized this by now, watch the movie UHF. It is quite possibly the funniest, wackiest, stupidest thing ever committed to film. With emphasis on the word committed.

It’s so true! In fact, I cleaned my floors today, and I felt like my soul was cleansed in the process.

I managed to see a good portion of the movie at the concert my friend and I went to. We were drinking, dancing and singing along.
AWESOME.
We got funny looks, but fuck them. We were having a special kind of fun.
Or maybe it was because I was the ONLY Black person there…. not that I notice things like that.
Weird Al is great.

Hah, I haven’t seen this movie in forever. Weird Al came to town when I was in middle school and I wasn’t allowed to go to the concert… because my mom and aunts made it a ‘moms night out.’

I’ve never heard of this movie. Looks umm… interesting. Wow, Michael Richards is so young in it, youngest I’ve ever seen him.
I like “stupid” movies sometimes. Maybe I’ll check this one out someday.

Hell yes. “UHF” is an underseen classic that I own on DVD. I love “Wheel of Fish” and “Conan the Librarian” too.

JLee - yup. Michael Richards.
Spark - I don’t think he meant you should clean the floor to clean your soul. He was saying clean your soul as though it was a floor.
Jillian - the film was being shown at his concert. Cool.
Andrea - from what I’ve been told, his live show is just an attempt at recreating the videos. In that case, just watch the videos instead.
Grace & Miss Ash - The movie was released in a Summer that was full of huge big budget blockbuster great movies. It kind of got lost and nobody noticed it. The critics also panned it. What do they know anyway?
BDS - I love it all.
Rawbean - good. Now go watch it again.

I’m tallying everything up right now Rawbean. Gimme a break, I’ve been shoveling the driveway all friggin’ day.
